JOB OPPORTUNITY

JOB TITLE: Chief Business Official

SITE LOCATION OF POSITION: Education Service Center

TERM/HOURS OF POSITION: 8 hours daily - 224 Work Days

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent, the Chief Business Official is responsible for the planning, directing, and supervision of all functions of District business including adequate fiscal planning within the established budget; building construction, maintenance and repairs, accounting and reporting, food services, network operations, purchasing and warehousing, vendor payments, maintenance of property and equipment records. The Chief Business Official is a member of the Superintendent's cabinet. In the absence of the Superintendent, may assume the specific powers and duties of the Superintendent.


EXPERIENCE:

Credential: Certified Chief Business Official (Preferred) ? Valid California Driver's License


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education or finance related field (Required) ? Master's Degree in education or finance related field (Preferred) ? CPA License and/or certification from CBO (Chief Business Official) program (Preferred)


Experience: 5 years of experience in school finance and budgeting processes ? 5 years' experience supervising school business functions and processes (Preferred)


SALARY: Step 1: $140, 875

OTHER COMMENTS: Applicant selected will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment before being hired as a probationary employee. Requires TB test and fingerprinting.
