EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE One to two years clinical experience in psychiatric setting Child/adolescent psychiatry experience preferred LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Registered Nurse, State of Texas First Aide, CPR SAMA THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION Assess, implement and evaluate patient within scope of nursing practice Provide leadership during crisis situations to promote safety in least restrictive manner Demonstrate competency in Collaborative Problem Solving core area within established time frames: Introductory concepts and attitudes: Triggers and Pathways Plans A, B and C Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration daily with clinicalteam and supervisors to appropriately plan for patient care, implementationof physician orders, scheduling appointments and notification of test results. Completion of documentation is accurate and prior to the end of the shift Demonstrates solid understanding of psychiatric medications and provideseducation to patients and families. Demonstrates accuracy in administration of medication, as needed Provide for the delegation of staff assignments considering patient acuity levels and staff experience.
