Contract Duration: 6 Months (Potential for Extension or Full-Time Conversion)
Pay Rate: $14.93 - 21.46/hour + Benefits

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support warehouse and materials operations at our South San Francisco facility. This role is responsible for the safe and accurate receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of materials while maintaining compliance with GMP, GLP, DOT, HazMat, and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, verify documentation, inspect condition, and prepare receiving records.
• Perform package x-ray scanning and process radioactive materials according to established procedures.
• Apply asset tags to capital equipment and ensure proper handling, storage, and temperature control of materials.
• Distribute materials, including GMP materials, to internal company facilities.
• Prepare hazardous material manifests, shipping documents, and outgoing shipments.
• Perform campus pick-ups and coordinate outbound shipping activities.
• Follow GMP documentation practices and assist in training others on GMP procedures.
• Operate material handling equipment and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Monitor daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and communicate updates to supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, LEAN, and Class ctivities.
• Assist Materials Specialists and contingent workers as needed.

Qualifications

• College-level coursework preferred.
• Material handling and/or warehouse experience required.
• Previous leadership or lead responsibilities preferred.
• Strong time management, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety, quality, and accuracy.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling is helpful.
• Valid California driver's license required; HazMat endorsement preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Additional Requirements

• This is a fully onsite position; candidates must be able to commute to the South San Francisco facility daily.
• Warehouse experience is required.
• Morning shift; start times may vary based on business needs, and flexibility is expected.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Strong reliability and attendance are essential.
• Ability to stand for long periods throughout the shift.
