Wet-Dry Stream Flow monitoring on the upper San Pedro River
The Nature Conservancy in Arizona
Wet-Dry Monitoring, June 20, 2026
Come join the volunteer teams to digitally map the upper San Pedro River. Using tablets and GPS in teams of 3 or 4 volunteers, walk a 3-5 mile stretch of the San Pedro River to document the water flow and health of the river. The river stretches are located between Benson and the border. Teams start very early morning to complete their sections before the heat of the day.
Training is provided and you will be included on a team with an experienced volunteer.
This is the 28th year of collecting data used for conservation management decisions. Visit San Pedro River Wet/Dry Mapping | The Nature Conservancy for information on the project.
