Data Architect

This posting is for a 'Data Architect' with primary skills of ETL using SSIS, knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling along with EPIC experience. The position is for a client located in California and the candidate should be flexible to accommodate the PST working hours when needed.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing data models and data normalization to support analytics with strong knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts
• Minimum of 7+ years of data engineering and data warehousing experience designing and building data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, ETL packages using SSIS
• Minimum of 7+ years data modeling experience in healthcare data and related data domains
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience with Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle data models
• One or more Epic Certifications

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience working with Health Catalyst product offerings, including data warehousing solutions, knowledgebase, and analytics solutions
• Direct development management experience leading Agile teams – not as a PM, looking for a development manager with program leadership skills, not a project manager with dev leadership skills
• Data engineering experience with health care data – looking for someone who has experience extracting, transforming, and loading health care claims, member and provider data
• Implementation experience – Implementations are different that pure software dev processes
• Client relationship/communication skills – this individual will be interacting directly with Optum’s clients and needs to have excellent communication and presentation skills
• Solid and creative under pressure – these implementations are fraught with challenges and every one is unique – the candidate needs to thrive in an uncertain, ever-changing environment
• Cultural fit – Aggressive leadership is needed, but also genuine interest in employees wellbeing, teamwork mentality and life balance is needed to fit in with local culture
