Surgical Technologist

Job Description Job Description Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team on a Full-Time basis. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for aiding the professional nurse or physician in providing patient care to those patients requiring surgical procedures during the operative and immediate post-operative surgery. Essential Functions: * Prepares the Operating Room for patients * Keeping the operating room clean and sterile * Passing instruments and other sterile supplies * Routine inspection of sterile supplies * Understand the sterilization process Position Requirements: * Required: Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists * Preferred: Post-secondary coursework in Central Service skills * Preferred Professional Experience: One-year experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred * Required Certification: Current BLS certification * Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements. * Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
