Other minor duties may be assigned./pulliDrivers are responsible for safely operating front, side, or rear-loading trucks, for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift./liliDrivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycling facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift./liliWe deploy both manual and automatic trucks./liliThe driver position may be required to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, and move and maneuver up to 100 pounds, as well as mount and dismount the truck multiple times every route./li/ulh2Requirements and Qualifications/h2pRequirements:/pulli21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States/liliValid Class A or B CDL/liliAirbrake endorsement/lili1-year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years./liliGreat safety record and clean MVR/liliExperience as a driver or helper for a refuge company is highly preferred/liliWorking knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable traffic regulations/liliAbility to speak and read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions and make legible entries on reports and records/liliRead and understand a map/liliMeet physical and safety requirements of the position./liliWilling and able to work required worked hours as allowed under DOT regulation and may include weekend, night and/or holiday work/li/ulpAdditional job requirements:/pulliRoutes may require drivers to navigate through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations./liliHighly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job./liliOur drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts./liliDriver pre and post inspections required.
