Job Opportunity: Bariatric Nurse Navigator

Our organization is looking for a dedicated Bariatric Nurse Navigator to assist patients on their weight-loss surgery journey in San Antonio, TX. This role for a Registered Nurse (RN) involves coordinating care before and after surgical procedures, performing assessments, delivering education on bariatric topics, and encouraging positive behavior changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient needs.
• Provide comprehensive education regarding bariatric procedures and lifestyle changes.
• Support patients in making behavioral adjustments to enhance their health outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and primary care providers to create personalized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and address any complications that may arise.
• Advocate for patients throughout their entire bariatric service experience.
• Utilize data tracking to drive quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Experience in bariatric nursing or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive care.
• Commitment to patient advocacy and support.
