Our organization is in search of a seasoned and innovative physician leader to take on the role of System Medical Director for Senior Health and System Geriatrics. This position entails providing both strategic and operational guidance for senior health services throughout our integrated healthcare system, while also focusing on the administration of geriatric medical practices and delivering outstanding patient-centered care.

As the System Medical Director, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary care teams to enhance quality, safety, patient experience, and clinical outcomes for older adults. Your contributions will be vital in shaping the future of geriatric care delivery within our organization, helping patients attain optimal health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physician services operations across the service line, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and care standards.
• Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of physicians.
• Lead initiatives focused on quality, safety, and patient experience to enhance clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and operational leaders to promote strategic priorities and system-wide initiatives.
• Manage financial performance, resource planning, and operations within the service line.

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Medicine (MD or DO) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency program relevant to the clinical specialty.

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire.
• ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource certification required within 180 days.
• Licensed Physician - WI required upon hire.
• Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate required upon hire.
• Prescription Monitoring Program registration required upon hire.
• National Provider Identifier required upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine.
