Pest Control Technician

Responsibilities The Orkin Pro provides the highest level of protection and service to customers on a designated service route. Responsibilities include training, daily route operations, scheduling, issue diagnosis and treatment planning. The role requires understanding customer problems and resolving them. Complete award‑winning training to learn the skills and knowledge required to serve customers. Prioritize safety in all responsibilities. Follow a route schedule and arrive safely and on time at each customer location. Operate a company vehicle safely and keep the vehicle and equipment clean. Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers. Use empathy to listen to customers and recommend the most efficient and innovative solutions. Meet customers in their businesses or homes to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services. Inspect interior and exterior of customer property. Communicate with customers to explain actions taken and discuss services. Complete required service‑related documentation on a handheld device. Valid driver’s license required. Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid). Ability to work in the field independently, manage route‑based assignments and interact with customers in businesses and/or homes. Work Environment Candidates must meet physical job requirements and be able to safely perform the duties with or without accommodations. Safely use a ladder within manufacturer weight capacity. Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc. including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Wear PPE, sometimes requiring an OSHA‑compliant respirator. Be willing to work in different weather conditions.
