Summary:

• The Clinical Nurse - Pool, provides direct care to patients and demonstrates safe practice within the domains of clinical judgment and decision-making, nurse-patient/family relationships, clinical leadership, and clinical scholarship. 
• Will work with others on the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. 
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-appropriate considerations of assigned patients. 
• In addition, will practice within the Penn Medicine professional practice model, demonstrate Penn Medicine core values which reflect its mission, and comply with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies.
• This position offers the combination of part-time hours and benefits with premium per diem pay rates. 
• RNs in these positions are part of and may be assigned to work in any of our Med Surg units. 
• Most RNs in this pool work 12-hour shifts. 
• You are considered full-time staff in every way. The only difference from nurses assigned to a particular unit is that you do not find out which unit you are working until you arrive at work. 

Credentials:

• Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
• BSN (Required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) 

Education or Equivalent Experience:

• 2+ years of relevant Med Surg experience
