Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist, OTR/L, Full Time

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 per year depending on experience

This Is Not a High Volume Clinic. We Mean That.

If you have worked in a pediatric chain clinic where you see back to back children for 8 to 10 hours with no documentation time, no sick days, and a supervisor you never see, you already know what burnout feels like. We built Sensory Therapeutics of NJ to be the opposite of that.

We are a specialty sensory and neurodevelopmental OT practice with over 6 years of experience in West Caldwell, NJ. We specialize in sensory integration, primitive reflex integration, neurodevelopmental treatment, and low level laser therapy. Our approach is whole body, root cause, and deeply relationship centered.

We are growing and we are looking for one exceptional full time pediatric OT who wants to do meaningful clinical work in an environment that actually supports them.

What Your Day Actually Looks Like Here

1. You see a minimum of 25 to 35  maximum clients per week,
2. You have 48 hours after each session to complete your notes, not point of service documentation under pressure
3. You have direct access to clinic leadership and a dedicated clinical supervisor
4. Your caseload is built around your clinical interests including complex presentations such as CP, genetic conditions, autism, and sensory processing disorders
5. You participate in bi-weekly clinical mentorship that is actually scheduled and actually happens

What We Are Looking For

1. Valid New Jersey OTR/L license required
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a sensory integration or specialty pediatric OT clinic strongly preferred
3. Experience with or strong interest in sensory integration, primitive reflex integration, or neurodevelopmental approaches
4. Familiarity with Star Institute approach, Sensory Pyramid framework, DIR Floortime, or similar models is a strong plus
5. Experience completing evaluations using standardized tools such as the Sensory Profile, Vineland, BOT, Peabody, or similar
6. Strong documentation skills with ability to write clear medically necessary insurance friendly notes
7. Warm relationship centered communication style with children and families
8. Genuine curiosity about complex clinical presentations, not just manageable caseloads

What We Offer

1. Base salary of $65,000 to $75,000 per year based on experience
2. Monthly productivity bonus of up to $500
3. 13 days PTO per year usable for sick or personal time
4. Health insurance with 75% of the premium covered by the practice
5. 3% SIMPLE IRA employer match after 1 year of employment
6. One advanced clinical training or certification course covered per year, you choose what fits your goals
7. Bi-weekly clinical mentorship with and clinical supervisor
8. Exposure to low level laser therapy and photobiomodulation with full training provided

Sensory Therapeutics of NJ, LLC has served children and families in the West Caldwell area for over 6 years. We are led by Dr. Galo Aguayo, OTD, OTR/L and we are expanding to a second location. Our team is small by design. Every therapist here is known, supported, and valued.
