Paramedic

*Job Summary:*
The Bottineau Ambulance District is hiring for a full-time Paramedic. This position works a full-time schedule on a 72 hours on, 144 hours off (3 days on, 6 days off) located in Bottineau, ND and covers Bottineau and McHenry counties including Lake Metigoshe and the International Peace Garden.

*Responsibilities:*
- Respond to emergency calls promptly and provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill or injured;
- Assess the nature of injuries or illnesses to determine appropriate medical procedures;
- Administer medications, start intravenous fluids, perform advanced airway management, and other medical procedures as needed;
- Transport patients safely to medical facilities;
- Document all assessment findings, treatments provided, and patient responses accurately
- Collaborate with other stakeholders including healthcare providers, law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency management;

- Other duties as assigned by management.

*Skills:*
- Strong background in emergency medicine, triage, and urgent care;
- Ability to operate emergency vehicles;
- Capable of heavy lifting and moving patients when necessary;
- Excellent patient care and customer service skills;
- Experience working in hospital or critical care settings.

*Job Requirements:*

- NREMT Paramedic certification;

- ND Paramedic licensure (or able to obtain);

- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (or other like certification).

*Compensation and Benefits*

- Hourly wage starting at $23.00 ($67,000/year), dependent on experience.

- 2.5% wage increase for employees with a bachelors degree.
