What will you do as an PMC Infusion Nurse (RN) The Clinic Infusion Nurse is responsible for administering infusion therapy treatments and providing exceptional care to patients in a clinical setting. This role involves collaborating with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate delivery of infusion services. Start Your Career in Healthcare - RN | Pinehurst Medical Clinic A day in the life of a PMC Infusion Nurse (RN) may include: Administer prescribed intravenous (IV) medications, fluids, and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Monitor patients during infusions, assess for adverse reactions, and respond appropriately to ensure patient safety. Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access with expertise and precision. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all treatments and patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR). Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Follow infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients. Manage inventory and prepare infusion supplies, ensuring equipment is maintained and functioning properly. Stay current with best practices, protocols, and regulations related to infusion therapy. Provide emotional support and address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism. Participate in ongoing training. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Education (Including Licenses and Certifications): Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. BLS/CPR certification required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in infusion therapy, oncology, or a related specialty desired.
