This correctional facility delivers outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to an adult population in a secure clinical environment in Washington state. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by on-site nursing staff and CNAs. Credentialing for this position is estimated at 1-2 weeks.

Washington state offers a range of outdoor and cultural experiences suited to varied interests. Clinicians on assignment may explore national parks such as Olympic National Park, Mt. Rainier, and North Cascades National Park, as well as the San Juan Islands, which are recognized for wildlife encounters including whale and orca watching. Outdoor enthusiasts will find additional options including hiking at Mt. Baker, kayaking, and exploration of the North Cascades region, with towns such as Winthrop serving as a base for activities alongside local dining and breweries. The state also provides cultural and historic attractions, including the Underground Tour in Seattle's Pioneer Square.

Clinicians will provide outpatient primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Clinical responsibilities include injury management, acute illness treatment, follow-up visits, physicals, complicated chronic care management, urgent care, and minor procedures, with an expected caseload of 2-14 patients per day. Required credentials include an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board certification (negotiable), BLS, Washington state license, DEA registration, COVID vaccination, and prescriptive authority. On-site support staff includes nurses and CNAs to assist with daily clinical operations, and credentialing for this position is estimated at 1-2 weeks.
