Culture Lab Technician

Job Title: Culture Laboratory Technician Position Summary: The Culture Lab Technician performs data entry and processing of biological indicator spore strip tests in a high‑volume culture lab. Primarily serving the dental industry, B.I. spore strip tests are used in autoclave performance testing for sterility assurance. Shift: Monday- Friday, 7:30 am- 4:00 pm Benefits $1500 Sign-On Bonus Healthcare, Vision, Dental, 401k Match, Quarterly Bonuses, PTO, Company Paid Holiday Duties Sorts and labels test envelopes and performs data entry based on information provided in envelope Aseptically transfer spore strips into test tubes Operates fill machines and ensures proper media fill into tubes, including setup and breakdown Follows SOPs to ensure appropriate incubation protocol Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to counting and opening test envelopes, cleaning work area, restock supplies, etc. Removes samples from incubators and visually examines for bacterial growth Routine cleaning of laboratory glassware and equipment Daily monitoring of incubator temperatures Specific Skills or Business Competencies Skill in written and oral communication. Skill in performing basic computer operations using Microsoft Word and Excel. Skill in organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks. Skill in prioritizing the adherence to safety protocol at all times and monitoring self and environment for potential hazards. Skill in time management. Ability to learn technical knowledge. Ability to monitor self and environment to make improvements or take corrective action. Ability to read and comprehend rules, schedules, procedures, and instructions. Ability to comprehend oral information. Ability to work in high pressure situations. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements or work environment. Ability to work well in a team environment to support the work of others. Ability to work autonomously. Ability to perform duties that require physical demands throughout the day such as standing, twisting, and lifting and exerting force of up to 25 lbs. Ability to work with tools and equipment requiring effective hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Education Degree High School Diploma or GED Pay range for this opportunity is $15.13 - $23.08. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
