Our home care setting offers a flexible schedule, allowing therapists to choose their working hours between Monday and Friday. This hands-on approach not only enhances patient comfort but also fosters stronger relationships between therapists and their patients, resulting in more effective treatment outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist with Broward Care, your day-to-day duties will include:Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities and limitations.Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimes, hands-on therapy, and the use of specialized equipment.Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, ensuring treatments are adjusted as needed to achieve optimal therapeutic goals.Providing education and hands-on training for patients and their families about exercises, mobility techniques, and the usage of assistive devices.Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a team-centered approach to patient care.Staying updated with best practices in physical therapy by attending workshops, reading professional literature, and engaging in peer networks.Patient Population / Client FocusIn your role, you will provide therapy services to a diverse range of patients, including children and elderly adults with varying diagnoses. These may include those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, strokes, or chronic pain conditions. Your ability to adapt therapies to individual needs and comfort levels will be crucial in helping patients progress toward their rehabilitation goals.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.Proficiency in using computer systems for patient documentation and treatment planning.A valid CPR certificate.Preferred ExperienceWhile two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, we welcome candidates who bring unique insights from volunteer work, internships, or fellowship experiences.
