CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.Join us if delivering next generation infrastructure, using emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain sounds like a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible forDrive FinOps program adoption, governance maturity, and measurable cost outcomes across business unitsServe as the senior FinOps subject matter expert, shaping how cloud cost is managed, governed, and communicatedOversee cloud cost allocation frameworks and showback/chargeback models that drive financial accountability at the team, product, and business unit levelLead FinOps analysis functions including variance analysis, trend reporting, anomaly detection, and savings opportunity identificationPartner with Finance to align cloud cost reporting with budget planning, forecasting, and P&L accountabilityOwn the FinOps tooling stack — including configuration, optimization, and vendor management for cost visibility and governance platformsEnsure accurate, timely, and actionable cloud cost reporting across engineering, architecture, product, and executive audiencesDrive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting automation, and self-service FinOps capabilitiesEmbed FinOps principles into architecture review, cloud design standards, and product investment decisionsCollaborate with enterprise architecture and engineering teams to evaluate cost implications of technology choices at the design stageChampion unit economics thinking across cloud workloads and engineering teamsAct as the primary FinOps liaison to engineering, product, architecture, procurement, and finance leadershipDeliver regular executive reporting on cloud spend performance, savings outcomes, budget adherence, and FinOps program healthLead FinOps working groups, steering forums, and cross-functional governance bodiesLead, develop, and grow the FinOps team, setting clear direction and fostering a high-performance cultureManage team capacity across analysis, tooling, allocation, and program management functionsIdentify and develop emerging FinOps talent within the team and across the broader technology organizationWhat we value A high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsA strong sense of customer service, attention to detail, and issue ownershipLarge-scale FinOps experience in a highly regulated environmentAbility to lead and work well with multiple priorities, and effectively handle concurrent demands to prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to formulate clear strategy, present and gain supportAbility to effectively integrate, contribute and overlap with other functions including cloud/enterprise architecture, compliance, risk, engineering, developersAbility to formulate objectives with clear business value and demonstrate progress along the wayAbility to communicate complex and innovative concepts with proven experience driving decision making across different stakeholder groupsAbility to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunitiesA champion for continuous improvementExperience with infrastructure systems, security assessments, and security processes is a bonus.Education & Preferred Qualifications10+ years of experience in cloud financial management, technology finance, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a FinOps roleDemonstrated experience in FinOps programs at enterprise scale across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Strong command of FinOps disciplines: cost allocation, chargeback/showback, reserved instance/savings plan optimization, anomaly detection, and unit economicsProven ability to influence engineering and architecture decisions through a financial governance lensExperience managing cloud Apptio CloudabilitySalary Range: $120,000 - $202,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
