Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: $142,000 - 194,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for experience in systems administration, including operating systems, middleware, servers, cloud infrastructure, and software environments.
• We value hands-on experience with performance analysis, server capacity management, backups, patching, and system configuration.
• We expect knowledge of application monitoring tools, identity and access management, and batch processing/workload scheduling.

• We monitor and maintain operating systems, middleware, servers, cloud infrastructure, and related software environments.
• We perform regular administration, conduct performance trend analysis, and manage server capacity to meet service standards.
• We install and configure servers, software, cloud infrastructure, and supporting environments, while handling system configurations and backups independently.
• We support hardware maintenance, auditing, provisioning, and integration troubleshooting with internal teams and external vendors.
• We administer identity and access management privileges, monitor user activity, and help provision access management systems.
• We oversee batch processing, manage job schedules and dependencies, and ensure service levels and budgets are met.
• We maintain system security by applying patches, protecting privileged accounts and secrets, and monitoring dashboards for anomalies.
• We deploy enhancements to improve system performance, reliability, and security.
• We support incident management by monitoring production environments, triaging issues, analyzing root causes, and participating in incident reviews.
• We coordinate escalated support cases and partner with technical teams and vendors to resolve production issues and high-severity incidents.
• We perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities, including participation in disaster recovery drills and implementation of recovery solutions.
• We communicate technical information to technical and nontechnical audiences and act as a technical liaison across projects and programs.
• We maintain documentation, create reports on performance and incident progress, and contribute technical guidance and best practices.
• We support cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, patching, version upgrades, and automation tools as needed.
• We manage our work independently, collaborate across teams, solve problems, and contribute to ongoing improvement and learning.
