Part Time Food Service Specialist - Catering Kitchen

Job Description

Conference and Dining Services at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio, is seeking dependable and motivated back-of-house kitchen staff on a part time basis to support catering operations in the newly renovated Spitzer Conference Center.


The Food Service Specialist is responsible for assisting with food preparation, production, packaging, and kitchen organization to ensure high-quality service for catered events. Further duties include dishwashing, stocking, and runner. Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events, is required. Additionally, cross training will be provided to work with the LCCC Marketplace and Bistro team as needed.


Employees must have reliable transportation, maintain a high degree of sanitation and personal hygiene, must be able to take direction verbally or by work order, must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

Required qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent in education, 2-3 years experience in a commercial kitchen, the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and the ability to stand for extended periods. Must have reliable transportation.

Preferred qualifications: Current ServSafe certification and knife skills
