Van DriverA School Van Driver transports students safely to and from school, as well as to extracurricular activities and field trips. A School Van Driver ensures the well-being of students while maintaining a clean, well-maintained, and safe vehicle.Essential RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid PA Driver's License and safe driving recordExperience in driving a large vehicle or school van preferredAny equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the positionBilingual and bicultural expertise is an assetEssential FunctionsSafely drive a school van to pick up and drop off students at designed locationsFollow prescribed routes and schedules to ensure timely arrivalsMaintain a high level of safety while driving, adhering to all traffic laws and school district policiesEnsure the safety and security of all passengers by enforcing seatbelt use and appropriate behavior during transportAssist students with getting on and off the van, including those with special needsReport all vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to your supervisorKeep van clean and in good condition.Keep records of daily routes, students transported, and any incidents or issuesEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and school policiesPerform other duties as assignedTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
