About the Role:

As a General Laborer at Structural Glass Products (SGP), your main responsibility will assist in various tasks related to shop fabrication of aluminum and installation of glass products. You will work closely with a team of skilled professionals to ensure the smooth operation of fabricating and installing aluminum/glass window systems process. Your primary goal will be to contribute to the timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in a similar role or in a construction-related field.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic understanding of measurements and ability to use hand tools.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work outdoors all year round.
• Travel to various projects as needed - travel locations include Minnesota and surrounding states.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with glass or in the glass industry.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to glass installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Certification in forklift operation or other relevant machinery.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and setup of materials and equipment for aluminum production and glass installation.
• Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects.
• Assist in the assembly of glass and fabrication of aluminum products according to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries.

Skills:

In this role, you will utilize your physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and moving materials. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of glass products. Basic understanding of measurements and ability to use hand tools will be essential for precise work. Additionally, strong teamwork skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
