Job Title: Travel RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital Emergency Department experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Emergency Department experience - BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications Description: The position is for a Travel Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The Emergency Department has 50 beds and a staff of 68. The day shift typically consists of 7-8 Registered Nurses and 2-3 EMTs/Medics. The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 1:4 or 1:5, although this is an estimate and not guaranteed. The unit is equipped with EKGs, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose monitors. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates must possess strong patient care experience and communication skills with both staff and providers. An energetic and collaborative personality is preferred for this role. The role includes performing all essential Emergency Department care needs. Additional preference may be given to candidates with Level 1 Trauma experience or stroke experience.
