Project Accountant

Our client is a general contractor in the commercial construction industry, based in Orange County, CA. They're hiring a Project Coordinator to manage document control and financial tracking on active construction projects. This person will work closely with project teams handling billing, compliance, and payroll documentation. Why People Take This Job: Hands-on exposure to the financial side of commercial construction. Responsibilities: Track and manage preliminary notices and lien releases for active projects. Collect and monitor certified payroll documentation for compliance. Administer insurance documentation, including OCIP and CCIP programs. Maintain labor compliance records and reporting. Prepare and process AIA percent complete billing. Support general project accounting and document control functions. Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of experience in project accounting or project coordination within commercial construction. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications: Prior accounting and document control experience within the Commercial Construction Industry Timberline/Sage, Textura, and Procore software usage is a plus Experience working for a General Contractor preferred An understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices. Must be extremely organized, accurate, possess high level of attention to detail and be able to perform -successfully under pressure and in a timely manner. Compensation: Salary Range: $75,000 -$85,000* *The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening upon hire.
