In this role, you will monitor enterprise systems, execute software deployments, support batch processing, and maintain high-volume printing operations that are critical to daily business functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in IT operations, infrastructure, and enterprise systems support.What You'll DoComputer OperationsMonitor system consoles and perform routine computer operations for our mainframe (IBM z/OS), server, and infrastructure environments.Execute approved scheduling, maintenance, and processing changes to support production operations and optimize batch performance.Utilize job scheduling and backup systems to manage scheduled and on-demand processing activities.Monitor job completion, investigate failures or processing discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.Review scheduling backlogs, research exceptions, and ensure timely issue resolution.Assist with operational reporting, service level agreement (SLA) tracking, audit requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities.Complete operational checklists to support application startup, monitoring, and ongoing processing activities.Maintain accurate operational procedures and documentation.Production Printing & DistributionOperate and maintain high-volume printers, folders, and related production equipment.Monitor equipment performance and perform routine maintenance, including replenishing supplies and replacing consumable components.Load paper, manage printer queues, and replace ribbons, toner, fuser oil, web assemblies, and other materials as needed.Retrieve, sort, and distribute reports and printed materials to designated users and departments.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the ordering of paper, envelopes, and operational supplies.Troubleshoot printer and production equipment issues and coordinate with management and vendors for timely resolution.Communicate equipment status, operational updates, and outstanding issues during shift transitions.Software Deployment & Change ManagementRetrieve software deployment requests from Application Development teams and implement approved changes.Execute software upgrades, releases, and deployments according to documented procedures.Coordinate implementation activities between Application Development and IT Operations teams.Document, communicate, and track deployment concerns, risks, and expectations.Follow established escalation procedures to resolve issues and support successful implementation activities.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in the information technology, computer operations, or related field preferred.Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and follow documented procedures.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.Experience working with enterprise systems, job scheduling, production operations, or high-volume printing environments is preferred.Familiarity with IBM z/OS, server operations, batch processing, or IT infrastructure environments is a plus.Willingness to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call support as business needs require.Why Join Great West?Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.Paid training and opportunities for professional growth.Stable and growing organization with a strong reputation in the insurance industry.Collaborative team environment where technology plays a critical role in business success.Opportunities to expand your knowledge in enterprise systems, infrastructure, and operational support.Great People.
