Chicago Dental Implant Oral & Facial Surgery (CDI Oral & Facial Surgery)

Location: Joliet, IL
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $22 - $30 per hour

CDI Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Oral Surgery Assistant to join our growing team. We specialize in dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, and a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures in a modern, technology-driven environment.

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Occasional Saturday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during procedures including:
  • Dental implant placement
  • Surgical extractions
  • Wisdom teeth removal
  • Bone grafting procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment
• Review and update patient medical histories and records
• Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans
• Monitor and support patients before, during, and after treatment
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
• Maintain OSHA, infection control, and sterilization standards
• Sterilize instruments and restock operatories
• Support efficient daily clinical operations and outstanding patient care
• Travel between all four practice locations:
  • Joliet
  • Plainfield
  • Orland Park
  • Downers Grove

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience required
• Oral surgery experience preferred, but willing to train an exceptional candidate
• Current Dental Assistant certification (where applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work calmly and professionally with surgical patients
• Experience monitoring IV sedation is a plus
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations
