Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of OR experience with Level I trauma and circulating experience.

Details

Operating Room unit in a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital setting

1:1 patient ratios

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

36 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed up to 3 call-offs during the 13-week assignment

Weekend requirement of 2-3 per month

On-call required: Day shift call, 24-36 hours per month

No floating required outside of scope

Block scheduling not accommodated

Cerner charting system used

Purple scrubs provided by facility

Requirements

Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted

BLS certification required

RQI certifications not accepted

3 years of OR RN experience required

Level I Trauma experience required

Circulating experience required

Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

No prior travel experience required

Non-local driver's license required on file if applicable

Additional Information

Must work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day for holiday pay if starting in December

No holiday RTO available for December starts

RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval

No RTO permitted during the first 7 days or last day of the contract

Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible (non-local candidates only)

Former UNM Hospital staff must have 12 months of separation before returning

Travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark require a 6-month system break

COVID vaccine is optional, but candidates must upload vaccination series or submit a declination due to facility reporting requirements
