The Position Richards is now seeking a motivated Material Handler to help us elevate our Core Richards business based in Cincinnati. This business is comprised of the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines. The Material Handler will report directly to Richards’ Materials Manager. He or she will be responsible for the following: Correctly identify, pick, and move castings, machined parts, and/or barstock to the appropriate staging areas or machine centers in a timely and efficient manner Verify the accuracy of sawed dimensions and ensure pulled part quantities match router specifications and blueprint dimensions. Confirm that materials meet required industry specifications as outlined in the router. Operate and maintain the saws to ensure proper working conditions and optimal performance. Accurately perform inventory transactions using the AS400 operating system to maintain inventory integrity. Maintain clean, safe, and organized saw areas on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Cycle counting inventory on a monthly basis. Hydrotesting of castings for porosity purposes. Multitasking between 3 saws, picking castings/machined parts, hydrotesting, and cycle counting. Deliver materials throughout the facility using forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Qualifications Include High school diploma or equivalent Forklift license Capable of handling 50 lb. to 200 lb. valve bodies and bar stock with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, and hoists Ability to stand for long periods up to eight hours or more at a time Must be able to multitask and organize the day’s tasks Ability to work weekends and overtime when scheduled Must adhere to all safety policies including wearing all required personal protective equipment while in shop area Personal Characteristics Strong work ethic Calm and resilient Organized and detail-oriented Motivated and proactive Multitasker Disciplined Committed to Continuous Improvement Outstanding Problem Solver Adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic work environment Why would this role be exciting for me?
