Dental Hygienist

Job Summary Dental Hygienist – West Mifflin, PA (Full‑time/Part‑time). The role focuses on providing preventive dental care, educating patients, and maintaining accurate clinical records. Responsibilities Seat, position, and dismiss scheduled hygiene patients. Complete preliminary clinic forms. Review medical history and discuss any problems with the dentist. Provide patient education in toothbrush instruction, flossing demonstration, and additional information as needed. Perform prophylaxis: supragingival scaling, sub‑gingival scaling, root planing, gingival curettage, and polishing. Takes, processes, and mounts radiographs for hygiene patients as deemed necessary by the dentist. Apply topical fluoride to children. Assist with first‑aid procedures. Maintain recall system and send reminder letters to patients for their recall appointments. Receive and maintain updated CPR training. A dental hygienist may perform any duty delegated to the dental assistant and may assist when no hygiene patients are available. Minimum Requirements Dental Hygiene license; X‑Ray Certification, Public Health License preferred. Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's preferred). Current PA State License.
