About the Role:

Joseph Angelo MD LLC in Bel Air, MD is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated healthcare team where your professionalism and compassion make a real difference for patients every day.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
• Answer and route incoming phone calls and patient inquiries
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
• Maintain and update accurate patient records in the EHR system
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations as needed
• Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology, EHR/EMR systems, and insurance billing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in basic computer applications and office software
• Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanor
• High school diploma or equivalent required
