The Agriculture Facilities and Grounds Care Associate maintains the safety, functionality, and appearance of Frost Valley YMCA's equestrian facilities, pastures, agricultural spaces, and grounds across East Valley Ranch, Frost Valley Farm, and Main Camp.

This role supports equestrian operations, livestock care, property upkeep, and year-round grounds management — encompassing paddock and fencing maintenance, pasture care, manure removal, lawn care, snow removal, waste collection, minor repairs, and agricultural assistance.

The ideal candidate thrives outdoors in all conditions, takes pride in well-kept facilities, and is dedicated to creating safe, welcoming environments for horses, guests, staff, and program participants.

• Maintain horse paddocks, fencing, gates, equestrian barn, and stalls, performing routine inspections and repairs to ensure safe conditions for horses and riders.
• Assist with manure management, paddock maintenance, and pasture management efforts including mowing, vegetation control, and rotational grazing preparation.
• Mow lawns and maintain grounds throughout East Valley Ranch, Farm, and Equestrian properties at Main Camp, keeping outdoor spaces guest-ready and reflective of Frost Valley's commitment to stewardship and excellence.
• Perform weed trimming and vegetation management around buildings, paddocks, trails, and common areas, and assist with landscaping and seasonal beautification projects.
• Plow roads, parking lots, and access routes, shovel walkways and high-traffic areas, and assist with winter storm response and snow management operations.
• Support garden, agricultural, and seasonal farm and ranch projects throughout the growing season, helping maintain agricultural spaces and infrastructure.
• Assist with feeding, watering, and basic livestock care as needed.
• Collect and transport trash, recycling, and compost; perform minor carpentry, painting, fencing, and handyman repairs; and assist with equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Support Facilities, Agriculture, and Equestrian teams with special projects and operational needs, including East Valley housekeeping when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• 21 plus
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Experience operating lawn care equipment, tractors, utility vehicles, or similar machinery.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Weekend work would be required.

• Frequent walking, lifting, bending, climbing, and outdoor work.
• Ability to work on uneven terrain and around horses and livestock.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and machinery.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the year.

RATE OF PAY: $18-$24 per hour, depending on experience
