We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Programming & Events Specialist II (Hybrid) on our Physician Satisfaction team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

This role is responsible for coordinating event related activities and projects the AMA's Professional Satisfaction & Practice Sustainability (PS2) and the Career Advancement Collective (CAC) educational offerings and events. Primary responsibilities include event management, participant and partner outreach, and presentation preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Projects and planning related to PS2/CAC educational events and conferences
• PS2/CAC programming
• Process and data management

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience and HS diploma/equivalent education required
2. 3+ years of experience in program coordination, project coordination, or event planning required
3. Experience supporting meetings and events, including registration, travel, planning, virtual event platforms (e.g., webinar production) preferred
4. Experience in building marketing and/ or programming preferred
5. Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills; able to communicate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of an organization
6. Strong interpersonal skills, including relationship-building; ability to interface effectively with people of varying disciplines, background, and expertise
7. Attention to detail and well-developed organizational and time management skills to handle a variety of multi-faceted projects, often with conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
8. Ability to work independently and to function effectively as a team member
9. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft™ Project and web-based survey development tools preferred
10. Some travel may be required

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $74,160-$98,318. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration and geographical location, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employees are also eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
