What We Do OU Foundation Investments, LLC (OUFI) is the institutional investment office that manages $3 billion for the University of Oklahoma Foundation and a small number of external clients. We invest globally, primarily through external managers, across the full opportunity set, with the operational complexity that comes with it. Behind the office is a long‑term institution with a durable mission: the OU Foundation exists to support the University across generations. That mission is why the capital exists and why getting the numbers right matters. The Role OUFI is hiring an Investment Accountant to own the office’s performance reporting, data management, and transaction processing. You’ll hold end‑to‑end ownership of the investment book of record and run the monthly investment close, booking subscriptions, redemptions, and fund‑level activity, then reconciling against custodial, administrator, and manager records before performance is finalized. We’re a six‑person office, which means the work is yours end to end and the numbers you produce are read by the people making the decisions. It also means you have room to grow into the expert on your area of the business. We train on the investment operations side, so you can develop specialized skills that very few people in this market have. You’ll also help shape the operational infrastructure during an active build‑out, including a new research management system and continued automation of the data pipeline, so there’s meaningful room to improve the machinery, not just run it. What We Are Looking For Curious and improvement‑minded, always looking to make a process more durable rather than just complete the task. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while remaining accountable for output. Experience reconciling and reporting financial data, whether from accounting, audit, fund accounting, operations, or a similar seat. Reconciliation discipline and a problem‑solving mindset. You resolve breaks rather than just flag them, and you catch bad data before it ships. A clear communicator who can explain the data, and the exceptions, to the people who depend on it. Key Responsibilities Book of Record and Data Management Owns and maintains the office’s investment book of record in the portfolio analytics system, including daily upload of custodial and manager valuations and transaction activity. Monthly Close and Reconciliation Runs the monthly investment close, booking subscriptions, redemptions, and fund‑level activity within established cutoffs. Reporting Produces, verifies, and distributes recurring performance, risk, holdings, and liquidity reports for internal stakeholders and external clients. Transaction Processing Serves as transaction processing lead for cash and securities activity, including capital calls, distributions, foreign currency conversions, and marketable security trades, all within established controls. Process and Continuous Improvement Owns the SOPs for their area, conducts root‑cause analysis on process failures and near‑misses, and works with the Operations Manager and systems analyst to turn hands‑on process knowledge into automated workflows. *Other duties as assigned Education / Experience Three or more years in accounting, audit, finance, fund accounting, investment operations, or a related field. Nice to Have Experience at an institutional allocator such as an endowment, foundation, family office, or OCIO. Working knowledge of private investment operations (capital accounts, lagged NAVs, capital calls, distributions, unfunded commitments) or of performance methodologies such as time‑weighted and money‑weighted returns. An interest in working with and learning about AI, Python, SQL, databases, and data visualization tools. Compensation and Benefits Starting base salary: $75,000 to $90,000 Medical, dental, prescription drug, and vision insurance. Paid time off at an accrual rate of 160 hours per year, accrued monthly. 14 paid holidays per year. Fidelity‑managed 401(k) savings plan.
