Java Developer

Senior Java DeveloperChicago, ILFull-time. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. We are hiring a Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience to build and maintain scalable Java microservices in a fast-paced environment. You will work independently on complex features, collaborate with teams and business stakeholders, and ensure reliable, high-quality deliverables.Key Responsibilities:Develop Spring Boot microservices using JDK 11/17, JAX-RS (Apache CXF), and Jackson JSON/XML for robust APIs.Implement data layers with Spring Data DynamoDB and optimize for performance.Build event-driven systems using Kafka, EMS, MQ, or Solace.Write tests using JUnit and Mockito, applying Java/J2EE practices like annotations, reflection, Lombok, and Spring MVC.Deploy via Docker on AWS EKS Kubernetes with AWS ALB, using Harness/TeamCity for CI/CD.Monitor with Datadog and Elasticsearch; handle bug fixing, log analysis, and root-cause resolution.Participate in daily scrum calls, refine requirements, track progress, and deliver on time while preventing issues.Use GitHub for version control (check-in/out, PRs) and IntelliJ/Eclipse for development.Required Skills:Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot microservices, Apache CXF, Jackson, JUnit/Mockito, AWS DynamoDB, Docker/Kubernetes (EKS), Datadog/Elasticsearch, and CI/CD (Harness/TeamCity).Proven debugging and proactive issue prevention skills.Nice-to-Have:AWS CertificationDevOps experience.
