About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Operations to spearhead the optimization of its operational platform. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing strategic leadership for all operational functions, from processing and production to warehousing and distribution. This role demands a hands-on approach to operational leadership, with a focus on financial and strategic capability to ensure the business operates safely, efficiently, and profitably. Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day performance, establishing operating standards, and driving a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence. The VP of Operations will also be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety and product quality, as well as partnering with commercial and finance leadership to align operations with growth and commercial objectives. Applicants for the VP of Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience in a related industry, with a strong preference for those who have managed large-scale operations and multiple facilities. The role requires a proven track record in improving operational performance and profitability, as well as a deep understanding of production, yield, labor productivity, maintenance, quality, and supply chain management. Experience in U.S. food safety and regulatory requirements, particularly in meat and protein processing, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, although equivalent industry experience will be considered. The role also involves leading and developing large workforces, so experience in this area is highly valued.
