Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to intermediate care and post-surgical patients, following best practices and facility protocols.
• Maintain and interpret telemetry equipment and manage cardiac monitoring requirements.
• Titrate critical drips such as amiodarone, nitroglycerin, and nicardipine per physician orders.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists for comprehensive care delivery.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies, including prohibiting artificial nails in patient care areas.
• Participate in ongoing education and pass competency exams, achieving a minimum score of 90% during orientation evaluations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing, eligible to practice in the state of Nebraska.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of one year of experience with the PCU/Intermediate Care/Stepdown patient population.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system and experience with telemetry monitoring.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for complex patient scenarios.
• Flexibility to float within similar or lower acuity departments as needed.
