Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant - Travel Assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant. Start date 07/13/2026 for a 13-week contract in a long-term care/nursing home setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,583 to $1,607 per week, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days, on-site from 08:00 to 16:30. This travel assignment is hosted through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide PTA-level rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed PT, within a long-term care setting.
- Implement and progress treatment plans, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, ROM, manual therapy, and functional mobility activities.
- Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT to adjust plans of care as needed.
- Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and activities of daily living to promote safety and independence.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, OT, speech therapy, and case management) to support comprehensive resident care.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, infection control, and documentation standards per facility policies.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing in New Mexico, or eligibility for licensure transfer/reciprocity.
- Ability to work on-site in a long-term care setting (nursing home environment).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in clinical documentation and basic use of an electronic health record system.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in PT assessment, treatment planning, and progression of therapeutic activities.
- Commitment to resident safety, privacy, and dignified care; comfortable working with older adult populations.
- Willingness to adhere to assignment schedule and travel requirements as a temporary/short-term placement.
