Position Summary

Skillbridge is seeking experienced Proposal Writers to support proposal development on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in capacity building and experience crafting compelling, compliant proposals for grants, RFPs, or donor-funded projects. Workload and timing will fluctuate depending on organizational needs and funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clear, persuasive, and well-structured proposals aligned with funder requirements and Skillbridge's mission.
• Translate technical and capacity-building concepts into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather programmatic, operational, and budget inputs.
• Ensure proposals are compliant with donor guidelines, formatting, and submission requirements.
• Revise and edit proposal drafts based on feedback and evolving requirements.
• Support the development and refinement of proposal templates and boilerplate content.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in proposal writing , preferably within capacity-building, nonprofit, or social impact sectors.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing timelines and priorities.
• Familiarity with donor requirements, procurement processes, and competitive RFP environments is a plus.
• Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams.
• Candidates may be based domestically or internationally.
• Candidates located in Northeast Pennsylvania are a plus, but not required.
