Supervisory Information Technology Specialist

DutiesIncumbent is a member of the senior leadership team in the CIO serving the NRE Assistant CIO (ACIO).The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of IT infrastructure services and manages a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit in the delivery of platforms and services.Determining broad functional assignments for subordinate staff who operate, maintain and support Forest Service infrastructure services.Providing trusted advice on the relationship of major policy decisions, proposed changes from legislation or regulation on IT delivery, budget or staffing levels and their impact on program objectives affecting the NRE IT portfolio and CIO programs.Prepares written analysis regarding USDA policies, directives, and positions on difficult or complex business and/or information technology issues.
