The salary range for this role is 66,800 USD - 127,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. - Support Quality aspects of Qualification planning and test.
- Support documentation process for Engineering product transition to Production build.
- Verify, document and understand the process for obtaining Inspection, Test and Final Acceptance Stamps for Lab Personnel.
- Coordinate and support internal/external audit processes when applicable.
- Owner of procedures, policies and methods pertaining to Avionics Engineering Technical Servies.
- Critical Thinking: Using Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Quality Control Analysis: Conducting inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Verify technical reports, developmental charts, graphs, and schematics that describe and illustrate system operating characteristics, malfunctions, and deviations from design specifications, for review and consideration by engineering team.
- Work independently on long term project goals with minimal supervision.
- Support factory transition of new products and provide ongoing factory support of legacy products.
- Handle multiple actions and projects at one time, and in some cases self-prioritize to meet new challenges.
- Read and understand product requirements, and to use those requirements to assist with the development of hardware integration and verification procedures. The hardware tests may be performed on a top-level unit, card level, or a single complex device (FPGA, or Microcontroller).
- Solve tough issues, and to be the go-to authority on Quality in the department.
- Support the development of new/ongoing Quality documentation.
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles
- Experience in Modification Processing (E-Mod, Flight Changes, R&H, Waivers, E-ITR Records Recording & CRG processing) for Top Level, Circuit Card or Component Level Inspection and Build
- Experience using SAP and FIT for configuration recording
- Experience as a Mentor
- Final Acceptance Inspections Experience
- Fluent in E-modifications/Conformities
- Fluent in Flight-Changes
