Wilson Medical Center is assisting Unified Women's Health Care with a recruitment agreement. This is NOT a hospital employed position.
Our affiliate, Unified Women's Healthcare of the Carolinas, is looking for a Full-Time Certified Nurse Midwife to join their Women's Health Care Center in Wilson, NC. Join a growing, collaborative group of physicians, certified nurse midwives, and women's health nurse practitioners who provide a team approach to patient care within a supportive practice culture.
Certified nurse midwife (CNM) is responsible for working closely with both gynecologic and obstetric patients, assisting in births, and providing health care to women post-pregnancy. The CNM will assist with prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum care, and may also provide reproductive care, treatment, and education to female patients.

Position Highlights:
• The practice has a solid team of 4 OBGYN physicians along with an excellent support staff.
• Practice has a strong patient base and reputation that has been built up for over 30 years.
• 2-3 clinic days per week depending on scheduling and patient volume.
• Patient Census in Clinic: up to 25-30 per day.
• Midwife will typically perform 5-10 deliveries per month.
• Strong work/life balance. 1 weekday per week of call and 1 weekend of call coverage per month.
• Ability to build up own patient clinic practice within the group.
• Option to assist physicians with C-Section delivery procedures.

Requirements:
• AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
• Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
• Master's degree in Nursing (MS/MSN)
• Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
• CPR and NALS Certification
• Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
• One year of full-time experience as a CNM is preferred
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred
