Role Description The Security Systems Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Baton Rouge, LA. This role is responsible for installing and configuring video surveillance and access control equipment. Daily tasks include installing and programming access control hardware (such as card readers, door controllers, and electronic locks), routing cables, labeling connections, and ensuring all systems meet safety and quality standards. The installer will interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams, collaborate with project managers and other technicians, and provide basic end-user guidance on system operation. The position also involves troubleshooting system issues, documenting work performed, maintaining tools and equipment, and adhering to company and site-specific security and safety protocols. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in video surveillance system installation, including camera mounting, configuration, and integration with recording or monitoring platforms. Candidates should possess skills in access control system installation and setup, including door hardware, controllers, readers, and basic programming. Candidates should possess skills in reading technical drawings and documentation, using hand and power tools safely, and following electrical and low-voltage installation best practices. Candidates should possess skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and performing basic diagnostics on security and cabling systems. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in security systems, low-voltage, or telecom installation; a high school diploma or equivalent; and valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Additional beneficial qualifications include industry certifications (such as BICSI, CCTV or access control vendor certifications), familiarity with networking fundamentals, and a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service. #J-18808-Ljbffr Smartcomm Solutions
