About this role:The Chief Operating Office Technology (COO Tech) organization provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the Corporate Properties Group. COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization. CAO Technology is the dedicated technology team supporting Corporate Properties, Corporate Security, Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Resiliency, Privacy, and CAO Data and Insights technology needs.Within COO Technology, we are seeking a Lead Specialty SAP Software Engineer Configurator to join the CAO (Chief Administration Office) Technology team to support Corporate Properties Group (CPG), aligned to the CAO, and its SAP S/4HANA transformation. This role will design, develop, configure, and deliver SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions supporting finance, accounting, capital project, asset management, and real estate business processes.In this role, you will:Lead complex, enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA Finance initiatives by defining strategy, evaluating options, and delivering scalable, long-term solutions aligned with business objectives, governance, security, and compliance standardsServe as a trusted SAP S/4HANA Finance subject matter expert, providing best-practice guidance across Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting (AA), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA / Margin Analysis), Project Systems (PS), and related Corporate Real Estate finance processesDesign and architect end-to-end SAP solutions, including business workflows, financial processes, accounting structures, data flow models, APIs, BAPIs, reports, and integrations across SAP modules, internal systems, SaaS platforms, and external partnersPerform hands-on functional engineering by designing, configuring, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting SAP functionality, integrations, reports, conversions, and Embedded IT controlsLead finance integration design and delivery, including synchronous and asynchronous patterns, data transformations, resiliency, APIs, messaging, event-based processing, and troubleshooting complex cross-application integration issuesCollaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, Corporate Real Estate, Capital Projects, and cross-functional technology teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, and design integrated end-to-end business processesSupport SAP S/4HANA transformation activities, including fit-to-standard workshops, solution design, configuration governance, data conversion validation, testing, cutover planning, deployment readiness, and hypercare supportLead quality and delivery execution, including testing strategy, configuration and design reviews, reconciliations, defect management, and business validation to ensure solutions meet business needs and delivery commitmentsProvide technical leadership and mentorship by guiding engineers and functional teams, reviewing designs, and coaching on SAP Finance modules, integration patterns, testing, configuration, controls, and data best practicesAssess and champion emerging technologies and innovations to automate processes, improve financial transparency, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen Embedded IT as a shared services providerEngage with senior leaders, architects, vendors, system integrators, and technical experts to resolve complex platform and integration challenges and influence technology directionDevelop and deliver enablement materials, including documentation, training, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer for end users and support teamsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment5+ years of hands-on SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA configuration experience supporting enterprise Finance business processes5+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO) configuration and solution delivery experience across core financial accounting, controlling, asset accounting, profitability analysis, product costing, and financial close and reporting processes5+ years of experience designing, configuring, testing, and supporting financial accounting, controlling, reporting, reconciliation, month-end close, quarter-end close, and year-end close processes5+ years of hands-on configuration experience with SAP data integration solutions, including asynchronous, synchronous, real-time streaming, messaging, event-based processing, REST APIs, ETL, and ELT across on-premises, custom, COTS, SaaS, and cloud-native solutions5+ years of experience supporting large-scale SAP implementation, modernization, or transformation initiativesDesired Qualifications:Strong consulting, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, support global and hybrid teams, and translate complex technical concepts for business audiencesExperience working with system integrators, enterprise architects, governance teams, and executive stakeholders in large-scale transformation programsStrong functional SAP experience with Project Systems (PS), Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM), Capital Project Accounting, Investment Management, project budgeting, settlements, and capitalization processesExperience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, including fit-to-standard workshops, solution design, data migration, testing, cutover planning, deployment, and hypercare activitiesExperience supporting lease accounting and regulatory requirements, including FASB 842 and IFRS 16 complianceExperience in financial services and commercial real estate technology, including platforms supporting lease management, capital planning, transaction management, and real estate accounting and valuationExperience across the modern SAP ecosystem, including BTP, Fiori, Workflow, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), and exposure to RISE, GRC, MDG, ARIBA, and SAP Integration SuiteProven experience with enterprise
