Beckman Coulter Diagnostics seeks an Advanced Automation Maintenance Technician to maintain and troubleshoot high-volume automated manufacturing equipment in a reagent production facility. The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical, mechanical, PLC/HMI, and robotics systems, plus 6+ years supporting automated equipment in regulated environments. The on-site Chaska, Minnesota position involves diagnostics, repairs, root cause analysis, and equipment commissioning within a life-sciences manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair highly automated production equipment to minimize downtime
Perform root cause analysis of automation and process issues, implementing corrective actions
Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new or upgraded equipment
Maintain technical documentation and collaborate cross-functionally on reliability improvements

Requirements

Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or related field
6+ years experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment
Expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Proficiency with PLC/HMI platforms such as Rockwell
Knowledge of robotics, vision systems, and motion control
Machine and electrical safety certification (LOTO, NFPA 70E)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in production environments

Compensation: $38.47 - $43.27 hourly
