Position Overview Salary: $26,559.00 annually. Location: Wayne County, PA. Job Type: Civil Service Permanent Full‑Time. NOTE THIS IS A REPOSTING OF CS-2026-51442-L0012. Job Summary Located in Honesdale, PA – Wayne County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Transportation Department is seeking qualified applicants interested in expanding their administrative skills in a professional public service environment. This role supports front desk & office operations for Wayne County Transportation Services AAA, ensuring organized communication and efficient workflow. Key Responsibilities Front Desk Support: Greet walk‑ins and provide assistance to visitors. Phone Communication: Answer incoming calls and relay messages accurately to staff. Office Tasks: Perform data entry, scanning, filing, and general clerical duties. Travel Coordination: Arrange staff travel accommodations and reservations. Mail Processing: Sort, prepare, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. Workflow Management: Maintain timely paperwork flow to support case management staff. Work Schedule & Additional Information Full‑time employment. Work hours vary between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday‑Saturday, with a 30‑minute lunch; irregular hours may include evenings and weekends. Potential travel within the county for meetings. Telework not available. Salary is fixed and may be non‑negotiable in some cases. Qualifications Six months as a Clerk 1 with at least eighth‑grade education; or completion of a high‑school business curriculum; or equivalent experience/training providing required knowledge and abilities. Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirement (see link for details). Must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal and Eligibility Requirements Must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer requires drug screening. Position requires compliance with Child Protective Services Law, including submissions of PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance.
