Senior Manufacturing Engineer Plymouth, MN Direct Hire | $105,000-$125,000 About the Role We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support process development and production execution for electromechanical capital equipment in a regulated environment. This is a highly execution‑focused role —ideal for someone who thrives on the manufacturing floor, enjoys solving real‑time problems, and is passionate about building scalable, high‑quality processes. You’ll play a critical role in bridging engineering and production, ensuring manufacturing runs efficiently while continuously improving processes and output. What You'll Do Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, travelers, traceability records) Lead and update PFMEAs to ensure robust and scalable processes Design and optimize workflows across assembly, test, and packaging Act as a key liaison between engineering and production , supporting operators in real time Troubleshoot production issues and implement root cause and corrective actions (RCA/CAPA) Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives Support NPI builds and transition products into full‑scale manufacturing Partner cross‑functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure production readiness What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering (medical device or regulated industry preferred) Experience creating work instructions, PFMEAs, and manufacturing documentation Hands‑on experience supporting assembly, test, and/or packaging processes Exposure to electromechanical systems or capital equipment Familiarity with GMP or regulated environments Strong problem‑solving skills with a bias toward action What Sets You Apart Highly hands‑on ‑comfortable spending time on the production floor Collaborative, humble, and team‑oriented mindset Action‑driven with the ability to execute and implement quickly Comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Nice to Have Experience working in small companies or CMOs Background in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement Exposure to medical devices + adjacent industries (pharma, advanced manufacturing, etc.) Why This Role High‑impact opportunity to shape manufacturing processes for new and evolving products Direct visibility and collaboration with operators, engineers, and leadership Strong growth potential into senior technical influence while remaining hands‑on EOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
