Travel RN - Operating RoomAmerican TravelerJacksonville, Texas, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-02T00:00:00.000Z$2,227.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and Epic charting skills for a 13-week day shift assignment.DetailsOperating Room setting supporting General, Ortho, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain Management proceduresDay shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PMCall responsibilities split between 3 RNs, averaging 10 shifts per monthUses Epic charting systemRequirementsActive TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submissionCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience requiredEpic charting experience requiredExperience with a range of surgical procedures including thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, urology, and spinal proceduresFamiliarity with cell saver equipment and operating room safety protocolsKnowledge of universal protocol, specimen handling, wound management, and infection control practicesAdditional InformationProvide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialtiesParticipate in call rotation shared among OR RN teamComplete onboarding modules onsite during orientation, averaging 4-6 hoursAll requested RTO must be submitted prior to consideration, with no RTO approved during the first week of orientationNo more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approvedPrevious staff must wait one year before returning as a travelerTravel experience preferred but not requiredCandidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be acceptedTravel pairs or groups are not acceptedCandidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible
