Job Summary As a Selector, you will properly, efficiently, and accurately pick products to neatly build pallets for our clubs. Our perishable distribution centers are temperature controlled, ranging from 30° in the cooler to -20° in the freezer. Selectors typically lift between 50‑100 lbs of product and operate powered equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. Schedule Morning Shift: 8 AM start time, work until finished. Shift typically runs 10‑12 hours. 4‑day schedule includes one weekend day and three weekday days. Pay Pay starts at $21.00/hr. Productivity based pay increases based on work performance. Key Responsibilities Select damage‑free product to build pallets neatly with labels facing out and arrows facing up. Verify product against pick tickets and case labels and complete accurate paperwork. Maintain required productivity level at 100% standard. Maintain accuracy at 99.9% standard. Check condition of pallets and exchange where necessary. Promptly report damage and inventory discrepancies to supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock and facility areas. Assist in ensuring pallets are wrapped and stacked for safe transport to storage. Operate material handling equipment safely after training. Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards. Ensure regular and consistent attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred experience in a warehouse setting and operating material handling equipment. Consistent attendance. Four‑day work week: three weekdays and one weekend day, with shifts starting at 8 AM. Must work in a cold storage warehouse with temperatures as low as -20 °F; lift to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally. Prioritize safety at all times. High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or related experience is a plus. Ability to handle multiple requests, strong accuracy, basic math skills, and ability to follow directions using a headset selection system (e.g., Vo Collect). Willingness to accommodate flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Environmental Job Conditions Lifting to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting in a refrigerated environment. Grasping, reaching, pushing, or pulling (e.g., boxes or hand trucks) frequently. Building pallets up to 6 ft tall with case weights up to 50 lbs. Endurance for continuous, fast‑paced work. Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC, including freezing temperatures as low as -20 °F. Use of PPE such as steel‑toed footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing. Products may contain food allergens (fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.). Utilize equipment safely after training (computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, pallet jack). In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, this represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range.
