Deputy Program Manager

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Deputy Program Manager. The selected candidate will support the Program Manager in the planning, execution, and tracking of complex Sensor Beam programs involving advanced sensor technologies, multi discipline engineering, rapid prototyping efforts, and integrated system development. This role is critical to ensure engineering performance, quality, schedule, and technical risks are effectively managed across multiple technology domains including, but not limited to, Radar, EO/IR, Communications, Platform systems, Missiles, Air Defense Artillery (ADA), and Technical Library efforts supporting electronic warfare community databases. The Deputy Program Manager will assist in overseeing multiple concurrent task orders executed within a fiscal year. Responsibilities include coordinating technical teams, monitoring program performance, and preparing and delivering programmatic reports, briefings, and updates to both internal leadership and external customers. What You'll Do The Deputy Program Manager provides direct support to the Program Manager and helps drive successful execution of all Sensor Beam program activities. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Program Manager by performing delegated duties, guiding Managers and Supervisors, and helping ensure all Sensor Beam contract delivery requirements are achieved Leading smaller programs and assisting in the management of multiple active task orders, including oversight of schedules, risks, action items, and performance against cost, schedule, and staffing objectives Working closely with cross functional department Managers, Supervisors, engineering teams, and support staff to maintain coordinated, effective program execution Developing, maintaining, and managing program schedules, budgets, and cost tracking using Staffer and Tempus to ensure accurate and compliant program reporting Preparing program status reports, technical documents, and other required artifacts to support internal leadership, external customers, and contractual documentation requirements Leading internal and external customer reviews and participating in in person and virtual meetings to present program status, risks, and technical updates Supporting proposal planning and execution, ensuring alignment with established program processes, compliance requirements, and quality standards Applying professional program management capabilities, including organizational management, risk awareness, and business intelligence-to ensure efficient, compliant, and mission focused program operations What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, business administration, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, including 6+ years in program management or 4+ years in supervisor/technical lead roles with proposal and customer facing experience OR Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, business administration, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience An active Secret clearance is required Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project Proven team player with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Professional customer communication skills with a strong customer advocacy mindset High attention to detail and documentation accuracy; self-motivated with strong analytical curiosity and determination to solve problems Eagerness to learn and understand supporting processes that feed into or depend on program operations Strong time management and prioritization abilities; able to remain composed under pressure Effective communication skills to keep the Program Manager informed and aligned Ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously while navigating shifting priorities High emotional intelligence with the ability to understand and manage emotions constructively Capable of working effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment Ways to Stand Out - Preferred Requirements Maintain an active professional project management certification and apply it directly to cost, schedule, and performance management across complex technical programs Leverage advanced emotional intelligence to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, align stakeholders, and support program negotiations in high visibility environments Provide customer focused program support by translating technical database requirements and operational constraints into actionable program plans and deliverable schedules Demonstrate strong decision making in fast paced program environments by assessing risks, evaluating technical tradeoffs, and implementing timely corrective actions Bring deep technical expertise in the USELMS database, including data architecture, ingestion workflows, schema dependencies, mission applications, and compliance requirements Apply strong knowledge of the Combat Support Database (CSDB) data lifecycle, metadata structures, product generation processes, and integration with mission planning systems Utilize advanced understanding of the EWIR database, including emitter characterization frameworks, data validation requirements, output specifications, and mission system dependencies Support successful program execution through familiarity with contract requirements, CDRL management, risk registers, and technical baseline control for database system development Collaborate with technical leads, developers, and data engineers to ensure database enhancements meet stakeholder needs, cybersecurity requirements, and system performance thresholds Communicate effectively with leadership and customers through accurate program briefs, milestone updates, and data driven analysis Demonstrate accountability and operate with minimal supervision, ensuring work meets technical and administrative standards Represent the organization confidently as a primary point of contact for current and prospective customers What Sets Us Apart?
