Job Title: OB Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Obstetrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year(s) License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), AWHONN, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: BLS certification through AHA required NRP required Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification preferred Description: Care of patients and families during labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum phases of childbirth, as well as newborn care. Two nurses are required to be in the facility at all times. The employee will not work alone. This position will be filling open shifts on the schedule. Weekends are required, including every third Friday and Saturday, as well as a scheduled Sunday every three weeks. Floating to care for a patient assignment in another department will not be expected for this position. The unit has 6 labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum beds and 3 postpartum beds. Staffing for this department follows established perinatal standards. Client-issued scrubs are expected as part of the dress code. A jump-start training/orientation program will be provided. Department-specific training will be provided based on the experience level and expertise of the nurse filling this position. Mandatory attendance for all training days is required. Charting system utilized is EPIC.
